The President of Belarus, Mr. Alexander Lukashenko, arrived in Myanmar on July 2, 2026, and held discussions with Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance friendship and engagement between the two nations. They also focused on practical implementation arrangements for the Joint Action Plan for the 2026–2028 period, as well as opportunities to further boost bilateral economic cooperation and investments.
Similarly, President Lukashenko and President U Min Aung Hlaing discussed promoting cooperation in the industrial sector, agriculture, pharmaceutical manufacturing, humanitarian assistance, and various other fields. They also touched upon continuing to elevate friendship and multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries.

Belarusian President Lukashenko first visited Myanmar in November 2025, making this July 2, 2026 visit his second.
Likewise, President U Min Aung Hlaing has visited Belarus twice—once on March 7, 2025, and again in July 2025—to hold talks with President Lukashenko.
However, both leaders noted that they have now met and held discussions exactly five times in total.
