Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently visiting India, held talks with the President of India, H.E. Smt. Droupadi Murmu.

The private bilateral discussion took place at the official residence of the Indian President (Rashtrapati Bhavan) on June 1, 2026.

During the meeting, they discussed the progress of ongoing joint projects between the two countries to ensure their completion within the designated timeframes, plans to further enhance bilateral trade and investment, the mutual preservation of cultural heritage, and continued cooperation in promoting the tourism sector.

Additionally, official statements from Nay Pyi Taw indicated that both leaders discussed the strong ties between the two nations as close and reliable friends, opportunities to share experiences for the advancement of women's empowerment, and frameworks to continuously strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation.

President U Min Aung Hlaing also held a separate, exclusive meeting with Indian Prime Minister Modi during his visit.
