The Shanni National Army (SNA/SNUC) sent congratulatory messages on April 3, 2026, to U Min Aung Hlaing, who will serve as the President of Myanmar, and General Ye Win Oo, who will serve as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services.
During the Union Parliament session held on April 3, 2026, U Min Aung Hlaing was elected as President. Additionally, U Nyo Saw was elected as Vice President (1) and Daw Nann Ni Ni Aye as Vice President (2).
Previously, on March 30, 2026, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the outgoing Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services, transferred the role of Commander-in-Chief to General Ye Win Oo (formerly Chief of Staff, Army).
Similarly, Vice Senior General Soe Win transferred the role of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services to General Kyaw Swar Linn (formerly Coordinator of Special Operations, Army, Navy, and Air).

The Shanni National Army (SNA/SNUC) subsequently sent separate messages of congratulations to President U Min Aung Hlaing and Commander-in-Chief General Ye Win Oo.
"As the President is a person of many years of high capability, systematic execution, and comprehensive success, we believe he will be able to fully implement new plans for the progress of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. We firmly believe that under the President's term, we will see a landscape that recognizes the identity and actual situation of our Shanni people, allowing us to stand as an eternal part of the Union," the message to President U Min Aung Hlaing stated.
The SNA/SNUC also expressed great pride and pleasure upon hearing the news of the elections of Vice President (1) U Nyo Saw and Vice President (2) Daw Nann Ni Ni Aye.

In the message sent to Commander-in-Chief General Ye Win Oo, the SNA/SNUC stated their belief that he will elevate the role of Myanmar's modern military and further contribute to regional security, stability, and peace.
The SNA/SNUC added: "Based on our existing friendship, we believe that by working toward more progressive conditions for stability in our Shanni region, we can build a firm zone of peace across the entire Union."
Furthermore, they sent a message expressing congratulations on hearing that General Kyaw Swar Linn had been selected and transferred to the role of the new Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services.
Foreign nations including China, Russia, and Belarus, as well as domestic organizations including the UWSA, NDAA, SNA, and various social associations, have respectively sent congratulatory messages to President U Min Aung Hlaing and Commander-in-Chief General Ye Win Oo during this transition in Myanmar.
