Even though armed conflicts could not be reduced, efforts should be made to make politics good, pointed out political circles.

At present, because the political framework is narrow and the military framework has been wide; the political framework was so narrow that the Arakan National Party (ANP) was refused registration, U Tun Aung Kyaw, member of the policy steering committee of the ANP, told CNI News.

" The rulers also know the political process in Myanmar from the start and so do the EAOs fighting against the Myanmar Tatmadaw. So, if negotiations were conducted from the beginning, such serious armed conflicts wouldn't happen. But now those levels have been passed. Some ethnic groups have demanded to gain confederate status, more advanced than federalism that they believed. Both sides need to negotiate and consult with goodwill. Having accepted the current situation, if they meet and discuss, there will be a political solution. And then a peaceful and stable situation can be created for the interests of the people in Myanmar and for the people who are facing the danger of disaster." he said.

Because of political changes that started on 1st February 2021, armed conflicts broke out across the country and the people are facing economic recession, monetary inflation and scarcity of jobs.

Even though efforts are being made for a political dialogue to solve the armed conflicts, armed groups participating in the armed conflicts are carrying out to crush down the enemy to the end, pointed out political circles.

Armed groups should discuss their desire at the political table; political parties would have to try to make a political dialogue emerge, Sai Htay Aung, chairman of the Tailai (Shanni) Nationalities Development Party (TNDP), told CNI News.

" Armed attack is not an answer. We must try to find an answer at the political roundtable. What should the government relax?  Political parties need to try hard to make political discussions emerge so that the situation will improve." he said.

Some political parties including the Arakan National Party (ANP) and the Zomi Congress for Democracy (ZCD) should be allowed registration so that political framework would be wide; moreover, the Mon Unity Party (MUP) which has been refused registration for over one year should be allowed to register, pointed out political circles.

Sr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the SAC, said that census-taking would be conducted before this year and a general election would be held in 2025.
