Generally, one or two lots of land only are being sold and business people have unusually opened many shops, Ko Min Min, a real estate agent, told CNI News.

" Transactions of real estate are just few. Business people are leading to the side where liquidity can be made. Although there are sellers of land lots, there are not many people who want to buy them. Because the land lots are difficult for the liquidity, affordable people invest by buying gold and dollars. Trading of real estate is cold. There is no such thing as selling much lower than the market price. Buyers are also weighing it kind of." he said.

Currently, the real estate rental market is more active and it is also reported that more apartments and houses are being rented in Tamwe, Kyauk Myaung, Tharkayta and Mingala Taungnyunt Townships.

It was necessary to carry out agricultural and livestock industries systematically for the regional development and food security, said Sr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council. 

He said the above in the discussion on regional development held in the Mandalay City Hall on 25th August 2024. 

Food security was mainly important to regional development and if agricultural and livestock industries were carried out systematically, there would be food security, said chairman of the SAC.

If agricultural industries could be carried out successfully in Kachin State, Sagaing and Magway Regions, it would support the regional food security, said chairman of the SAC. 

In the same way, it would be necessary to grow oil crops to increase yield, he added.

"Regional edible oil demand is occurring as edible oil extracted from oilseeds is exported as well as domestically consumed; if oil crops can be grown to improve yields, yields will increase; if domestically produced surplus oilseeds, sesame, sunflower and peanut are milled into edible oil, edible oil will be enough within the country." he said.

The Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) would make a revolutionary government emerge in 2025, said Maj-Gen Tar Bone Kyaw, general secretary of the TNLA. 

He said the above during the meeting between community members and the TNLA administrative officials on 17th August in Mogok.

" The TNLA will take charge of administrative activities for the time being and it will make an interim revolutionary government which contains civilians and the TNLA emerge in 2025." said Maj-Gen Tar Bone Kyaw.

During Operation-1027 which started on 27th October 2023, the TNLA captured Namtu, Mong Ngor, Nansang, Mantong, Kutkai, Namkham and Monglong Townships in northern Shan State and is establishing administrative mechanisms.

And then, the TNLA continued second part of Operation-1027 on 25th June 2024 and captured Kyaukme, Mogok and Momeik Townships and is making preparations to establish administrative mechanisms.

With the country's instability, Myanmar is facing an economic recession and the government should have ways to cure it, businessmen and economic commentators told CNI News. 

Border trades that received tax have been suspended and a country cannot operate its activities without receiving tax; the State Administration should try to make foreign investments enter the country, an economic analyst told CNI News.

 " Because the government are losing tax. There are questions to ask the government to cure that. If a government doesn't receive tax, the government will be in a tight spot. It will find it difficult to exist for long. As soon as it doesn't receive tax, how much foreign investments can it invite? How much foreign loans can it borrow? If the country is unstable, the economy declines. So, the country needs to have ways to cure it. Mainly, the country needs to have a lot of international aids." he said.

In trying to get international aid, although Russia is an ally, it is geographically very far away from Myanmar; although Myanmar could receive technologies from Russia, Myanmar has problems that need to be solved in the short term, U Aung Pyit Sone, a businessman, told CNI News.

The government should make attempts to gain aid from China and India, neighboring powerful countries; at present, if the government lifted its controls, it could be more difficult for the grassroots; limited control only should be conducted, he said.

Although it is generally right that the current devaluation of Myanmar kyat could be solved only when the politics is stable, if foreign currency was received enough, that problem could be solved, reviewed businessmen and economic analysts.

The people were burdened by the battles taking place within the country, former chairman of Dooplaya District of the Karen National Union (KNU) Pado Saw Shwe Maung told CNI News.

The people were getting into trouble due to the current battles while armed groups were asking the people for support, he said.

" The people are fleeing and fleeing to safety. They are finding it difficult for their livelihood. It's not convenient for them to live. Plus, now as an infectious disease (monkeypox) is breaking out, it's getting worse. IDPs are getting into more trouble. The people who don't have to flee are also miserable. Both sides are asking the public for help. The public are burdened more." said Pado Saw Shwe Maung.

Armed organizations that were involved in the current armed conflict didn't like the dialogue, Pado Saw Shwe Maung told CNI News.

"As long as there is pride on both sides, they don't like the dialogue. If the mutual trust between the two sides becomes strong, they will be on good terms again. As long as there is resentment and grudges against each other,  it will lead to a worse situation." he said.

Armed organizations involved in the armed conflict are carrying out to crush down their enemy to the end, pointed out politicians.

There are many armed groups, including the Tatmadaw, EAOs, Border Guard Forces, militia and PDFs. The people are facing hardships because of request for money, restriction, ban and taking action from these armed groups.

The public security must be launched from streets and wards at the very least with security awareness and carefulness, said Sr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council.

" It is necessary to carry out security regionally and individually with security awareness and carefulness. Moreover,  It is necessary to carry out public security in streets, wards and villages with security awareness and security carefulness. Sr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council, told relevant officials to develop Kaytumadi City Wall and new city blocks when he was in Taungoo. 

Sr-Gen Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Taungoo City on 23rd August and he said the above while inspecting actions to maintain ancient heritage sites of Kaytumadi, ancient city.

" I came here for the reconstruction of Kaytumadi Palace. Kaytumadi City Wall is an ancient heritage site which should be re-exposed; it's necessary to re-expose; places with strong historical evidence; in the same way, it's necessary to develop new city blocks and to move government buildings for the first time." said chairman of the SAC.

In re-exposing confirmed places regarding Kaytumadi Palace and Boattaloke Lake, efforts must be made in accordance with the ancient heritage law and ancient heritage sites must be protected and preserved in accordance with law, he added.

" In constructing buildings, it's necessary to carry out for the development of Taungoo and in order to meet the standards; it's necessary to develop new city blocks systematically, to grow plants and trees in the residential areas and in either side of the road; in building roads, it's necessary to make platforms really useful." he said.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw could carry out a large-scale operation in northern Shan State, Col. Khun Okkar, patron of the Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO), told CNI News. 

Operation-1027 part two broke out in the latest week of June and the Myanmar Tatmadaw lost control of most towns in northern Shan State. Currently, battles are breaking out in Thibaw (Hsibaw) between the Myanmar Tatmadaw and the TNLA/MNDAA joint forces.

" I'm not sure whether the Tatmadaw will attack Thibaw, Kyaukme or Lashio. But it plans and prepares for large-scale operations and will attack northern Shan State. I don't think it will attack every town that it has lost control of." said Col. Khun Okkar to CNI News.

Operation Hsinbyushin was formed to launch an offensive in northern Shan State on 13th August and Vice Sr-Gen Soe Win would lead the operation, reported the DVB News Agency.

The operation is made up of 13 military officials and commander of No.2 Bureau of Special Operations, four commanders of Military Commands, three Major Generals from Air Force, one Major General from the Drone and Technology Force and three brigadier generals are included.

The Tatmadaw would make an attempt to regain control of northern Shan State, but it wouldn't be easy, Dr. Hla Kyaw Zaw, a Myanmar political commentator, told CNI News.

" They will make an attempt to regain control of northern Shan State, I think. But  it won't be easy because they don't have even reserve forces, they are recruiting even women. When they lost control of Laukkai, they said they would recapture it. But they weren't able to do it. They are trying so as not to lost control of more territories. Seemingly, they might lost control of more territories. It's not easy to recapture the towns, I think." she said.

The Tatmadaw would have to try to regain control of the territories it lost and it needed to reform its mentality, pointed out a person close to the Tatmadaw.

The Three Brotherhood Alliance (AA,TNLA,MNDAA) released that they have captured Laukkai, Lashio, Namsang, Mantong, Namkham, Namtu,and Kon Kyan in northern Shan State during Operation-1027 which they launched. Moreover, revolutionary joint forces released that they have captured Mogok, Madaya and Sintku towns.

Because the Unique Identifier (UID) smart cards are issued to those who live in Myawady and have both household member list and national verification cards only, the people coming from other regions are finding it difficult, said philanthropic associations to CNI News. 

Although anyone from other regions were issued UID smart cards, that limitation occurs because of the UID card forgery problem in Myawady.

If a person leave the border gate to go to the Thai side, he must have a UID card. So, people from other regions are finding it difficult, an official from Alinthit Philanthropic Association told CNI News.

" Because of this restriction, people from other regions will have to go back to their native towns to make UIDs kind of. Travel expenses are high. If you go from Myawady to Hpa-an, it costs you at least 130,000 kyats. There are two groups of workers. One is to go to the Thai side and the other is waiting to work in the casinos in the border area. Before they can work, they rent houses and live together." he said.

However, although some people are not residents of Myawady, if they are related to relevant authorities, UID cards reportedly are issued to them. 

Although the authorities has stated that UID cards would be issued to residents of Myawady only, brokers will make UID cards for people from other regions in some way, said philanthropic associations and locals.

Because there have been a lot of IDPs and people who come to work in the border areas, it is difficult to rent houses or flats and house rents are also rising. At present, because of devaluation of Myanmar kyat, everything is sold in Thai baht in Myawady, U Aung Khin, a resident of Myawady, told CNI News.

" You can buy goods in every shop in Thai baht in Myawady. Both Myanmar kyat and Thai baht are used in the town." he said.

There are no people who will visit for other reasons except for those who will work in the Thai side or border areas in Myawady border gate. Moreover, there has been a sharp increase in the number of illegal sneak routes. Moreover, the cost to sneak has reportedly jumped from 20 to 40 lakh kyats.
