No matter which government took responsibility, only if you worked, could you enjoy benefits and advancements, said the SAC chairman Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
He said the above during his meeting with elders of the town and MSME entrepreneurs in Meiktila on July 10, 2025.
"No matter which government takes responsibility, only if you work, can you enjoy benefits and advancements. So, we need to focus on regional development and socio-economic development. And we need to develop green zones in each region, ward, and village to make the Meiktila region greener," he said.
He said that they (the SAC) have not been able to carry out development projects as successfully as they should because they were dealing with conflicts, political instability, and differences of opinion in the country.
The SAC Chairman then said that since 2010, the multi-party democracy that the entire public wants has been implemented, and that the market economy system has been implemented.
In Myanmar, the Myanmar military ousted the NLD government on February 1, 2021, claiming that it attempted to form a government without resolving the 2020 general election voter list dispute and declared a state of emergency and has been ruling the countr.
Then, armed uprisings to overthrow the Myanmar Army and the SAC intensified, and fierce battles are breaking out across Myanmar.
To end the fighting and overcome the political conflict, the SAC has said that elections will be held in 267 townships in December 2025 and January 2026 and the state power would be handed over to the winning party.
Therefore, the SAC Chairman said that he would like the Meiktila district to also cooperate in holding the election successfully.
