The Brigade-614 of the Shanni National Army completed its No.2 Batch.9 basic military training and its graduation was held somewhere in a liberated area on 2nd May 2024 reportedly.
The SNA is a Shanni EAO that is making an effort to gain Shanni State that contains Bamo, Myitkyina, Mohnyin, Mogaung, Indawgyi in Kachin State as well as Kalay, Tamu, Homalin, Katha, Mawlike, Banmauk, Phaungbyin, Kawlin, Wuntho, Pinlebu in Sagaing Region.
Battles are currently breaking out between the SNA and the KIA/PDF joint forces in Homalin, Banmauk, Shwe Pyi Aye, Phaungbyin, Mohnyin, Mogaung, Indaw and Pharkant.
