On 8th September, Shanni civil society organizations issued a statement protesting the killing of Sayadaw U Gandhana, who was teaching Shanni literature and culture, by an allied force of the Kachin Independence Army and the People’s Defence Force in Naung Park Village in Banmauk Township, Sagaing Region.
