India provided 40 tons of humanitarian aid to the earthquake-affected people in Myanmar on March 31, 2025, using two warships. India provided humanitarian aids to the earthquake-affected people in Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay, Naypyidaw Council Territory and northeastern Shan State due to the earthquake that rocked in Myanmar on March 28.

Indian Navy warships INS Satpura (F-48) and INS Savitri (P-53) carrying relief supplies and food arrived in Yangon at 2:30 pm on March 31. The Indian Ambassador then handed over humanitarian aid to Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

The aid provided by India includes instant noodles, nutritious biscuits, plastic containers, plastic water cups, personal hygiene items, tents, tarpaulins, clothing, hygiene products, and medicines, weighing a total of about 40 tons.

The Indian government has sent earthquake relief teams and is rescuing trapped people.
