Leader of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), a militant group, Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi and nine other suspected members were arrested by the Bangladesh government on 17 March 2025, reported on the website of the bdnews24.com. 

Along with Ataullah, Mostaq Ahmed, Asmat Ullah, Md Hasan, Salimullah, Asmat Ullah were included in those arrested. Ataullah was arrested while he visited Muslim refugee camps in Cox's Bazar district, Bangladesh. 

The ARSA attacked 30 police stations in Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Rathedaung Townships, Rakhine State in 2017 and killed Hindus and other ethnic groups in those regions as well. 

And then, the Myanmar Tatmadaw had to launch a clearance operation.
