Although the State Administration council (SAC) reorganized the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, it would not deviate from the peace objective, chairman of the Arakan Front Party (AFP) Dr. Aye Maung told CNI News.

 The SAC released on 4th February 2025 that it reorganized the NSPNC.

" The SAC and the cabinet were also reorganized. The NSPNC is under the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee. But the main objective is to make peace. Its work is national reconciliation and peacemaking. In other words, it meets and discuss with armed organizations after which ceasefire will be conducted and then the points resulted from the discussion will be submitted to the peace conference. They are included in the main process. The NSPNC won't deviate from the peacemaking.” Dr. Aye Maung Said.

While seeing the statement that has described the reorganization of the NSPNC

In the NSPNC that has been reorganized, Lieutenant General Ya Pyae (Minister of Border Affairs) will serve as the chairman of the NSPNC that has been reorganized and Lt-Gen Min Naing as secretary of the committee.

Maj-Gen Aung Kyaw Kyaw (Deputy Minister for Home Affairs), Lt-Gen Win Zaw Moe (police chief), a colonel from the Office of the Chief of Military Security Affairs, Col. Wunna Aung (JMC), U Hla Maung Shwe, Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein (Retired), chairman of the Myanmar Veterans Association Lt-Gen Sein Win (Retired), Lt-Gen Myo Thant Naing,  Union Minister for Immigration and Manpower U Myint Kyaing and Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi will serve as members.

While the NSPNC was discussing with political parties when Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung served as chairman of the NSPNC

After reorganization of the NSPNC, he was looking forward to getting positive discussions, vice chairman of the National Democratic Force Party (NDF) U Htet Aung Kyaw told CNI News.

"The organizations of its above have not changed and nor have its policies. So, we won't find it difficult discussing with it. We were able to discuss with the NSPNC very well. We won the constructive results. We have signed the 43 points. I'm looking forward to getting positive discussions in the future." he said.

The NSPNC is responsible for peace talks and implement the tasks laid down by the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee (NSPCC).

At present, the NSPNC is discussing with NCA signatories and political parties in order to implement the peace processes.
