Those who were sending workers Thailand and Malaysia with fake passports were arrested, reported the State Administration Council (SAC) on 6th January 2025.

 

Eleven Burmese youths, including three young women, brought by Thet Nandar Win, were arrested along with 11 fake passports on the NJo. 1 Myanmar-Thailand froiendship bridge on 29th December 2024.
 
Among 11 people arrested, Nwe Ni Hlaing Min, managing director of One Asia employment agency which was located No. 220, second floor, Upper Block, 37th Street, Kyauktada Township and Khin Maung Shwe, director of the agency got 80 lakh kyats each for service charge from nine people including Ma Hnin Ei Phyu who lived in Taungdwingyi Township; Su Myat aka Su Myat Nanda Win, managing director of Lyan Htet Travel Service which was located at No. 302, third floor, Central Tower, Kyauktada Township got 70 lakh kyats each and made fake passports and had planned to send the workers to Malaysia from Thailand through illegal channels after making fake passports.



So, the Myawaddy Myoma Police Station has opened cases against Nwe Ni Hlaing Min, Bala, and Su Myat, reported the State Administration Council. Nwe Ni Hlaing Min and Bala from One Asia employment agency, Wunna Zaw aka Ko Pauk from Lyan Htet Travel Service, passport forgers, Nyo Min, a passport forger, who lived in Kamayut Township, John Ko Ko aka John Ko and his father Tun Yi who both lived in Hlaing Township, San Win aka Raphee who lived in Pabedan Township and Thant Zin Oo who lived in Dagon Myothit (North) were arrested.


John Ko Ko reportedly made 734 fake passports which 14 people including Bala and Su Myat ordered.


It was carrying out to arrest the remaining suspects who are on the run, reported the SAC.
