The Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA) held a graduation ceremony of basic military training somewhere in a liberated area within Sagaing Region on 18th August, 2024.
The event was held in Main Seng Tai Nai, headquarters of the SNA.

The SNA is made up of four brigades and active along the India-Myanmar border, upper Sagaing Region and in Kachin State.
The SNA is a Shanni ethnic armed group that is making attempts to gain statehood (to establish Shanni State) after gathering Kalay, Tamu, Homalin, katha, Mawlike, Banmauk, Phaungbyin, Kawlin, Wuntho and Pinlebu in Sagaing Region as well as Bhamo, Myitkyina, Mohnyin, Mogaung and Indawgyi in Kachin State.
