The Shanni Nationalities Army hung up vinyl with letters saying that Shanni must protect Shanni land in some places of Homalin Town, upper Sagaing Region and started informing the local people.
Gathering Kalay, Tamu, Homalin, Katha, Mawlike, Banmauk, Phaungbyin, Kawlin, Wuntho, Pinlebu in Sagaing Region and Bhamo, Myitkyina, Mohnyin, Mogaung, Indawgyi in Kachin, the SNA, an EAO, is trying to get Shanni State.
The battles are breaking out between the SNA and the KIA/PDF joint forces in Homalin, Banmauk, Shwe Pyi Aye, Phaungbyin, Mohnyin, Mogaung, Indaw and Hpakant among the regions the SNA has been active.
The KIA is using the People's Defense Force (PDF) in fighting against the SNA to control Shanni regions, said local Shanni people.
