The meeting of the National Defense and Security Council is held today (31st July, 2023) and U Henry Van Thio, Vice President 2 under the NLD government also attends the meeting.
Moreover, U T Khun Myat, speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw, and U Myint Swe, Acting President attend the meeting as well.
The State of Emergency was extended for another six months under the the Section 425 of the constitution reportedly.
