The National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and seven armed groups that have signed the NCA (the 7 EAO Alliance) held an informal meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on June 9, 2026.
Colonel Sai Ngern, leader of the negotiation team for the 7 EAO Alliance, stated that the 7 EAO welcomes the official invitation extended by the NSPNC on April 21 to relevant organizations to engage in peace talks. This invitation aims to resolve political issues through political means following the formation of the new government, and to hold free and unconditional talks to implement peace processes.
He said, "I would like to state that the 7 EAO maintains the position to pursue the peace process with the goals of reshaping it in accordance with current conditions, ensuring the inclusion of relevant organizations that ought to be part of the peace process, and building a sustainable and enduring peace."

Furthermore, he expressed confidence that the informal meeting will significantly support future peace initiatives, as both sides will mutually explain and discuss their respective plans and stances regarding the implementation of the peace process. He also called on all participants to work together during this meeting to achieve positive outcomes.
The informal talks were attended by the RCSS, NMSP, ALP, PNLO, LDU, DKBA, and KNU/KNLA-PC, alongside Yebaw Myo Win, the former Vice-Chairman of the ABSDF.
